Front Disc Brake Services from Spanial's

At Spanial's Service Center we replace the front friction materials and resurface the rotors. What we call the friction material, on a brake pad or shoe platform, squeezes against the rotor or drum when you apply the brake to slow your car to a stop. Over time, with normal usage the pad or shoe wears thin. This can cause the rotor or drum to become worn due to contact and heat. At Spanial's we recommend machining; the process of scraping or cutting so it is smooth; the rotor or drum until it is allowable within manufacturer specification. If we find that the thickness of the rotor or drum becomes too thin or the surface is scored or warped, we recommend a full replacement. Depending on your vehicle type, replacement may be the only option. Today, many manufacturers utilise brake pad sensors that require replacement with every pad change.  Many manufacturers also recommend changing the brake fluid every 24 months.

Rear Disc Brake Services from Spanial's

In this service, we replace the rear friction materials and resurface the rear rotors. These friction materials on a pad squeeze against the rotor when your are applying the brakes to slow your car to a full stop. Over its lifetime the pad eventually wears thin. And as a result the rotor can become worn due to contact and resulting heat. Throught the process of machining the rotor Spanial's can resurface the rotor to within an allowable specification, but if the thickness of your rotor becomes too thin or the surface becomes scored or warped, we highly recommend a full brake replacement. Depending on the type of vehicle you own, replacement may be your only option. Today, many manufacturers utilise brake pad sensors that require replacement with every pad change.  Many manufacturers also recommend changing the brake fluid every 24 months.

Rear Drum Brake Services from Spanial's

In this service Spanial's will replace the rear friction materials and reface your vehicle's rear drums. As your brake shoe squeezes against the brake drum in the process of applying your brakes to slow the car to a stop the brake shoes begins to wear thin. This wearing of the shoes results in the brake drums becoming worn due to contact and heat. If we find that there is enough drum material left and if they are not damaged beyond repair, Spanial's will machine the drums to within an allowable specification. If in the process we find that the thickness of the drum has become too thin or the surface is scored or warped, then we will need to recommend a complete brake replacement. As always, depending on your vehicle type, replacement may be your only option.

Rotor Replacement Brake Service from Spanial's

In this brake service Spanial's replaces the front friction materials and replaces the rotors, as well. When the brake pad material squeezes against the rotor, as the brake is applied to slow the car to a stop, the pad wears thin from repeated use. As a result, the rotor can become worn due to contact and heat. When possible Spanial's will machine the rotor to within allowable specifications, but if the thickness of the rotor becomes too thin or the surface is scored or warped we will perform pad and rotor replacement. Depending on the type of vehicle you drive, a complete replacement may be the only option.

Brake System Inspection Service from Spanial's

Spanial's will remove your vehicle’s wheels and brake drums as part of this inspection. Your brake's friction material, rotors, drums, master cylinders, calipers, wheel cylinders, brake hoses and lines will then be thoroughly inspected by a Spanial's Service Team Member. At this point an estimate of recommended repairs will be provided to you for your approval before any work will begin.

Parking Brake Adjustment Service from Spanial's

Your vehicle's emergency or parking brake is designed to hold your vehicle stationary while parked. Adjustment to the parking brake requires making sure that your parking brake system is neither too lose nor too tight. If the parking brake is too lose, the system will not hold your vehicle stationary: if it is too tight, the parking brake will wear prematurely. Spanial's will adjust your parking brake cables or rear wheel adjusters to hold the vehicle and test drive your vehicle.
